Photographer Patrick Mathis and I first linked up with each other through Flickr several years ago. I immediately gravitated to his photography work on Flickr (see https://www.flickr.com/photos/pmanne31/) and decided to reach out to him to say hello. Through associating on Flickr, we developed a good friendship and began to discuss photography through Flickr, other social networks, and telephone calls. We continue to this day to share advice and critique each other's work. One thing we've always talked about was collaborating together on a photo shoot. One way or another, collaborating on a photo shoot was definitely in the cards between us. Fate brought Patrick near the Wilmington, North Carolina area and the rest is history. So far we've been able to knock out 2 photo shoots with several clients. I definitely plan on visiting Atlanta, Georgia to work with Patrick in the future as well. Patrick's a stand up guy, he'll give it to you straight, and when it's time for the photo shoot, it's game time and all about the business of creating art. I definitely recommend that you take the time to check out some of Patrick's work at the following sites:
Our collaboration was long overdue because it's something we have always talked about over the years. It's good to network with other photographers like Patrick. Photographers should support each other whenever possible. It's also good to have someone that's in the craft of photography you can talk with about artistic, technical, and business matters to get feedback about things.
Photographer Patrick Mathis of pSm Photography is an Atlanta, Georgia based photographer and currently uses the Canon 5D Mark III with Canon L series glass.
